In a broad sense, socionics is the science of stable types of human thinking and behavior, as well as of human commonalities, patterns of relations that arise in the process of interaction between individuals and collectives as a whole. Its conclusions and recommendations are based on the analysis of patterns of energy and information exchange between people.

Socionics is the science of stable types of human thinking and behavior, as well as human commonalities, regularities of relations that arise in the process of interaction between individuals and collectives as a whole. Within the framework of socionics, a corresponding classification of sociotypes has been developed.

The difference between sociotypes is rooted in different ways of perceiving the world. The priority division of people is the division into extroverts and introverts, rationalists and irrationalists, taking into account the dependence on the ways of perceiving information, on the elements of human cognition, such as logic, ethics, sensors, intuition.
According to existing theories, logical, ethical, sensory, intuitive types have different characteristics. Between them, quadratic, octave relationships, relationships with the next or previous quadra arise.
Thanks to the knowledge of intertype relations, the skillful combination of various functions and the application of the method of forming sociotypes based on the main features, it is possible to form an elementary model of a sociotype and a sociotype model of an individual
